About the Band

    The Clackamas Community Band (CCB) is an all-volunteer ensemble of community members who share a passion for music. CCB is open to anybody who plays a band instrument with at least high school level ability. We strive to provide a friendly environment for people of multiple generations to grow musically — both on an individual and ensemble basis. This provides an opportunity for band players to continue playing well past their high school and/or college years. The CCB performs for local civic events, at senior citizen centers, and occasionally in community band festivals. If this sounds like fun, please join us! In our group, you will NOT find entrenched section leaders protecting their turf... We are open to mixing part assignments, and if you can play, you’ll be given a chance to shine immediately.   We are recruiting for all band instruments, but we have a strong and immediate need for the following instruments in particular: Tuba, Oboe, Bass Clarinet, Bassoon, Bass Sax, Flute, Trombone, and French Horn.
